Just you and 59 kindred spirits – no crowds, no rush, just space and starlight.
Immersive boma setting, with bonfire, surrounded by rock formations and night sky.
Enjoy a full weekend Kagga Kamma escape-for-the-soul, with Saturday night as the highlight.
Perfect for couples, friends, families and Jo Black fans who want to be part of something truly unique.
Known for its dramatic sandstone rock formations, vast fynbos plains and unforgettable night skies, Kagga Kamma is off the beaten track, and far from bright city lights. The Reserve offers a deep sense of stillness and space where guests can reconnect with nature, themselves and with each other. Renowned for its warm, attentive hospitality and signature open-air experiences – from boma dinners by firelight to nights spent sleeping under The Milky Way – “Kagga Kamma provides an authentic and restorative experience, unlike any other.”
Described as a musician with a passion for people, Jo Black’s music resonates deeply with audiences and with our South African soul. It is because his music is rooted in authenticity and heartfelt storytelling, and is ultimately inspiring and uplifting, that his songs make such a strong connection.
Having achieved significant success in the music industry, with multiple albums reaching gold, platinum, and multi-platinum status, and having received a SAMA award for Best Contemporary Music Album, amongst many other accolades; Jo’s impact and heart for people reach beyond the stage, and positively impact the lives of young South African’s, through his Be That Guy/Girl Everyday Heros initiative.

Kagga Kamma is about 230 km (approx. 3.5 hours’ drive) from Cape Town via Ceres and Op-die-Berg. From Op-die-Berg, follow the clearly marked Kagga Kamma signs onto the gravel road for the final stretch to the lodge.
Note: The last 35km are on a scenic gravel road. The road is traversable by normal sedan vehicle. However, we request guests to please drive the gravel road slowly and carefully; and make the most of the opportunity this affords one to slow things down and enjoy the splendour of nature that surrounds you along the way.
Kagga Kamma welcomes children of all ages. However, the Jo Black event itself on Saturday night will be limited to children 12 and older. If you have younger children joining us for the weekend, we are hosting a special Kiddies Club for the evening, which will include dinner and refreshments, fabulous entertainment, and child-minding services; for your peace of mind, and the littles’ delight.
Cool, comfy daywear; warmer layers and a jacket for evenings and early mornings; flat, comfortable shoes / sandals, takkies, walking / hiking shoes; swimwear in case you fancy a dip.
A mix of Afrikaans and English, that will lean towards the home language of the audience majority on the night.
