As the sun sets past the horizon and light and colours fade into night, trail down the stone-clad walkway towards the Lodge and into the Boma, where a dinner table and a bonfire will be waiting for you under the star-studded sky.

Swimming Pools

Summer and springtime offer fantastic swimming weather at Kagga Kamma Nature Reserve. Lounge under an umbrella with a good book and a refreshing beverage, or dive into the cool, crystal waters; shaded by the famous sandstone formations. The two swimming pools on the property make for wondrous afternoon lazing and cooling down after an adventurous morning.

Rooikat Venue

Named after the African predator known as the Caracal (‘Rooikat’ in Afrikkans), is equipped to serve as a functions venue. The venue is located near the Restaurant and Spa to provide optional add-ons for conferences, weddings or milestone celebrations and can comfortably accommodate 30 guests.

Kindly note that Kagga Kamma Nature Reserve does not offer fly-in services; arrangements are to be made by the guest. All guests flying in are required to phone ahead and book to ensure you are received with the full extent of Kagga Kamma’s Hospitality.

• No fuel available on-site.
• FAKA is an unmanned airfield (unmanned airfield procedures apply).
• Landing is at the pilot’s discretion – please ensure planning is done to determine runway suitability for your aircraft’s performance.
• The airfield is located within a Nature Reserve; kindly fly over the strip before landing to ensure the runway is clear of wildlife.
• When approaching Kagga Kamma, please circle three (3) times before landing — this alerts our team to your arrival and allows sufficient time for us to depart for your pick-up.
